Review: SHANY Image Plate Review – Part 1

First off I purchased these myself a few months ago and I have used a few of the images in some stamping, but I figured it was time for an all out review of all 25 plates. I bought my SHANY plates from Amazon.com here.

Because the are so many images all together I thought I'd do 5 plates at a time. here are the first five plates: SH01, SH02, SH03, SH04, & SH05. I am not a 100% sure of what some of these designs are on these plates but all the images below are shown one the first stamp (no test stamping) in Konad Special Polish in Black onto white 3x5 index cards.

Plate SH01:

Sexy, squares, flower, flower, stork, spider web, snowman

Plate SH02:

Scream face, fish bone, happy/sad masks, evil pumpkin, scared cat, skull & crossbones, witch on broom

PlateSH03:

Flowers, wings, dot wave?, footprints, star with scroll, swan, Santa face

Plate SH04:

Flower, penguin (duck), shell, flower?, eye of Horus, penguin (duck) girl, pinwheel design

Plate SH05:

Flower (same one as SH01), butterfly, leaves, scroll-work design, bee, loop design, flower

Week 7 - "Valentine's Day" Mani

This is the mani I wore today for Valentine's Day. Sorry I didn't get it posted earlier I got distracted. I used Color Club Warhol (2 coats) with one coat of Sally Hansen Byte. On the accent nail I used Wet n Wild Black Creme (2 coats) topped with one coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust. I stamped with Konad Special polish in white and black using BM02, SE18, SE20, RA-110, SH01, and m71. I also added a pink rhinestone heart for fun.

Valentine's Mani - part 3

For this mani, I choose red and black. I used Color Club Cadillac Red, Wet n Wild Black Creme for the base colors. Then I stamped with Konad Special Polish in red, white, and black using BM02, SH09, and SH01. I used Wet n Wild Behind Closed Doors (black based red hex glitter) on my thumb. I used my franken, Bloodsucker (red jelly based red micro and black hex glitter) on my pinky. 

I thought it needed something else so I added another one of my frankens, A Holo ♥ (a red and holo micro glitter with red hearts in clear base),to the middle three nails. When I went to stamp the red lips onto the black, I actually expected the red to show up...well it didn't! So I stamped the design on white, then attempted to stamp over it again in red. I got close but not right on top, however I kind of like the way it turned out.

Again I liked it but the colors were a bit too harsh for my nubbins I think.
