Review: SHANY Image Plate Review – Part 2

Again I am not a 100% sure of what some of these designs are on these plates but all the images below are shown one the first stamp (no test stamping) in Konad Special Polish in Black onto white 3x5 index cards. I did have trouble with a couple images getting a clean scrape so you’ll notice a second stamp with that design (SH06), I just changed the direction of my scrape and all was fine…we’ll chalk that up to user error. LOL!

I also want to mention that although these plates are rough on the back (no backing) and they snag on a paper towel, they aren’t really sharp and the designs themselves are not roughly cut. I can clean them with a cotton ball and the fibers don’t stick.

Plate SH06:
Six different tip designs

Plate SH07:
€ (yes, I stamped it backward-DOH!), #, %, ?, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0, @, $, horse head (facing right), horse head (facing left)

Plate SH08:
Baby face, puppy head, cat, kitty face, paw prints, bird in nest, moon with stars

Plate SH09:
Skull cross, anchor, female demon, flower design, bikini, spider, large dollar sign

Plate SH10:
Leaves, squirrel, butterflies, unknown design, flower with leaves, butterfly, unknown design

Off to do the next 5 plates from this set...Much Love, The Dragon Lady

Valentine's Mani - part 3

For this mani, I choose red and black. I used Color Club Cadillac Red, Wet n Wild Black Creme for the base colors. Then I stamped with Konad Special Polish in red, white, and black using BM02, SH09, and SH01. I used Wet n Wild Behind Closed Doors (black based red hex glitter) on my thumb. I used my franken, Bloodsucker (red jelly based red micro and black hex glitter) on my pinky.

I thought it needed something else so I added another one of my frankens, A Holo (a red and holo micro glitter with red hearts in clear base),to the middle three nails. When I went to stamp the red lips onto the black, I actually expected the red to show up...well it didn't! So I stamped the design on white, then attempted to stamp over it again in red. I got close but not right on top, however I kind of like the way it turned out.

Again I liked it but the colors were a bit too harsh for my nubbins I think.
