Now my rant...
RULES:
  • Please follow directions!
  • Erroneous/fraudulent entries will be removed.
  • More than 1 fraudulent will get all of your entries removed.
  • Fraudulent entries will get you completely disqualified.
  • Fraudulent entries & disqualification from 2 different giveaways and will get you banned from future giveaways.
Grounds for disqualification:
  • Entering more than once (both sets will be removed)
  • Not being a GFC follower (this includes leaving the GFC name blank)
  • If you are caught entering GFC name, email, and the rest are fraudulent entries in more than one giveaway – I will forever ban you from my giveaways (dishonesty is a HUGE dislike for me, it’s not fair to the followers who actual do stuff for those entries and you just click enter, enter, enter and hope I don’t check….well, I do. Every. Last. Entry.)

I have said this before I'm sure these rules sound harsh but they are there for those followers who actually do the requested activities to earn those entries. I have also changed around some of the entry options as you will notice. I also added the option to host a copy of this giveaway's Rafflecopter widget in a post for 25 bonus entries. You can combine this with the blog post bonus entry and get 30 bonus entries for one blog post.

Okay, enough of that onto the Rafflecopter widget!

My Contest Entry - Please vote!

I just entered the BirchBox Color Club Fall themed mani contest on FB. Please help me out and vote for my mani here. Thanks bunches!

In other news, I hope to finally get my newest giveaway up later today and I am taking swatches & doing manis like no tomorrow because I will be taking part in the TNT Challenge from ASK Cosmetics (stating very soon) so I won't be able to paint my nails for 12 weeks. Craziness! I am trying to "store" up some posts basically, but you will probably also get mani pics for my mother, and daughter, and possibly some toes as well to fill in the gaps. =)

If you were wondering about what I used for he fall mani entry...generic ridge filling base coat, 2 coats of Color Club Catwalk Queen, then stamped with Mash-27 (leaf tip image) using a very old bottle of Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Emerald Amethyst, topped with Seche Vite.

Much Love, The Dragon Lady - and thanks for voting!

Neon Pink, Hello Kitty, and Mini-Haul

I just wanted to post a quick one to show you what I was wearing. It an unnamed neon pink with a silver shimmer. I wore this just by itself yesterday but last night after my day of errands I decided it "needed" something. Stamps! I just received a few new stamping plates with some Hello Kitty designs (ordered them to do my little ones nails for her b-day). I decide to test them out on myself too. Here's what I did.

I used two HK images and a whole nail polka-dot from the QA12 image plate which I bought off Amazon.com. I think it turned out pretty cute and I'll probably wear this mani until tomorrow. Nothing like a little stamping to extend that manicure one more day! ;)

Here's a little pic of my mini-haul today from my local Sally Beauty aka My Addiction Supporter. It was time to renew my membership and yes, I bought more polish. I'll have to update the Polish Stash list here pretty soon.

Essie Nothing Else Metals

Next up in the Essie Mirror Metallics is Nothing Else Metals, a pale lavender foil. Again swatch photos are shown two coats over one coat of Essie Grow Stronger with no top coat, unless stated. The formula was the same on this one as Blue Rhapsody, you can see the Blue Rhapsody post here. Slightly temperamental in application but second coat came out good. Very pretty, very light lavender color.

I decided to add and accent nail and stamp over Nothing Else Metals with the silver from this collection, No Place Like Chrome. I used Mash-40 image plate. I was a little disappointed that the silver and lavender were so similar in color, but after a while I decided I kind of like the subtle stamp effect. However, I think I will have to do a side by side of all five colors when I'm done so you can more accurately see the color differences. These photos are with one coat of Seche Vite over the stamp.

Essie Blue Rhapsody

Yesterday I asked which of my newest polish additions you wanted to see first and it seems like the new Essie Metallic polishes were the most wanted. So here's the first one, Blue Rhapsody, an icy blue foil. All swatch photos are shown two coats over one coat of Essie Grow Stronger (upcoming review of this nail treatment in a few days) with no top coat.

I was a little worried when the first coat on the first nail came out REALLY streaky and any attempt to correct it only made it worse. On the next nail I applied a thicker coat to start with and didn't seem to have the streak problem. On my thumb and middle finger I realized that this polish dries fast and you can't dally in your application. Once I figured these things out the rest of the application and the second coat were just fine.

This is definitely one you'll want to use some underwear for, maybe a ridge-filler if you have it. I noticed it shows all the flaws in my nail underneath, but that it pretty common for metallic polish.

Now how many of you saw these online or on the shelf and though what I did..."Metallic...hmm, I wonder if they stamp? " Well, I had huge hopes that they would, and I can't speak for the other colors yet but...this one does. Woo Hoo!!!
With top coat

I re-did my ring finger nail as an accent nail (Essie Grow Stronger - 1 coat, unnamed Cosmetic Arts pink creme - 2 coats and with one coat of Seche Vite). I used one of my new MASH stamp plates (Mash-49) for the star pattern.

So what do you think? Is this one you are going to add to your collection? Much Love, The Dragon Lady

Nail Mail and July's Haul (So far)

So this month when pay day hit, I paid rent, bills, and of course hit the stores to find some new polish for inspiration. I recently got the stuff I ordered online so I figured I'd do a haul post. If you noticed I didn't do a June haul post because we dropped over $400 on a repair for the van on our Fort Bragg trip. Sucked big time. No spending money, not much left for polish buying either. So I kind of made up for it this month. LOL!

Each of the eight color has a different magnetic lid

MASH and Bundle Monster 2012 plates

So I guess I really only have one question for you...which one would you like to see first? LOL! ;)
I also realized tonight that I have passed 1000 followers recently...yep, you know what that means! Keep an eye out for a giveaway soon and thank you all for reading!!!
